Friday morning we picked up our rental car in Las Vegas and ventured into the desert towards California. One of the most fascinating things of our trip was all of the foliage and growing things. Completely different from Minnesota and completely beautiful. Also, mountains. Yes.
On the road to Laguna Beach:
We arrived in the Laguna Beach area in the afternoon. Tanner's cousin lives with a family there so we were able to stay at her place for the night. We went down to the beach for a little picnic and some salt & sun. I could have spent hours and hours on this beach. I could have LIVED on this beach. It was absolutely gorgeous and to be honest I didn't spend enough time with the ocean on this trip. I find myself wishing to go back to that afternoon.

That evening we drove through Dana Point and had dinner in a cute little Italian restaurant. It was so much fun to spend some time with Britt and to be a starry-eyed tourist for the evening. That night ended with a hot tub under the stars. We weren't even there for 24 hours due to time constraints/travel plans but I would love to spend a week pretending to be a Laguna Beach native. Absolutely beautiful.
